Wellness
Exams ~ For the Health of Your Pet
The key to a healthy pet is the early detection
and prevention of disease.
The gradual onset of health problems in an apparently
healthy pet often go unnoticed. Once symptoms appear,
the condition may be too difficult or costly to
diagnose and treat. There are many conditions, that
if diagnosed early, can be completely reversed or
controlled for extended periods of time. Laboratory
tests are an important means by which your veterinarian
can diagnose blood disorders, kidney and liver disease,
diabetes, infection, cancer, thyroid disease and
other hormonal problems.
The promotion of quality pet care through a senior
wellness program can add years of vitality and extend
your pet's life.
Your veterinarian can improve and prolong your pet's
quality of life...please ask for information on
a complete senior wellness program. |
Importance
of Vaccinations
Infectious diseases
may strike your pet at any time, even when you are
sure that you have done all you can to maintain
its health. Some of these diseases are so serious
that prevention is the only way to avoid death or
disabling illness. Although no vaccine is 100% effective,
vaccines typically assure effective diseases protection
in more than 95% of all animals vaccinated. Without
protection, your pet can be infected by viruses
and bacteria carried in the air, or on dust, clothing
and the surfaces of inanimate objects. It is considerably
less expensive to prevent diseases rather than treat
them. Therefore, in order to avoid unnecessary stress
and expensive hospital bills, Community Pet Hospital
highly recommends routine pet vaccinations. |
